For decades, laser and light-based procedures have been the go-to solutions for correcting various skin imperfections, including wrinkles, scars, discolorations, and sun damage. Imagine a device that goes beyond fractional methods for skin resurfacing and contouring. At Champs-Élysées Aesthetic Medical Center, we are thrilled to introduce eMatrix Two™, an FDA-approved aesthetic device that combines two unique treatments, known as Sublative™ and Sublime™, to deliver comprehensive facial rejuvenation.
Today’s patients desire face-lift-like results without the lengthy downtime associated with traditional treatments, which can last for weeks to even months. Aggressive treatments also present limitations when it comes to treating various skin types due to the risk of skin discoloration and scarring. Sublative™ RF, also referred to as eMatrix™, is a fractional resurfacing device that employs non-laser-based fractional energy delivery, significantly enhancing safety and patient outcomes across all skin types.
Sublative™ rejuvenation utilizes fractional bi-polar radiofrequency to penetrate the skin, allowing for deeper energy delivery beneath the skin’s surface to stimulate collagen production while preserving the top skin layer. The Sublative™ RF treatment involves addressing the selected skin area through a grid of tiny spots, with the surrounding skin acting as a healing reservoir, regenerating and restoring collagen, thus expediting the healing process and minimizing downtime. The heat generated by the radiofrequency energy stimulates a collagen response at specific levels of the treated skin area. Following the procedure, you may observe a reduction in mild to moderate wrinkles, superficial skin discolorations, and an overall improvement in skin texture, resulting in smoother and more elastic skin.
Sublative™ RF treatment can be applied to various body areas in addition to facial regions.
At moderate treatment levels, you can anticipate 2-3 days of redness and swelling, along with up to 7 days of light crusts or bronzing caused by the fractionated tip. This is entirely normal and expected. For higher treatment energy levels, it’s important to note that this is not a “lunchtime” procedure, and most individuals prefer to schedule it during days off work or social activities. We recommend avoiding any activities that may heat the treated area, such as exercise, hot water, or sun exposure, for 24-48 hours. Makeup can be applied 24 hours after treatment. Tiny crusts may develop within 24-72 hours in the treated areas, which will naturally fall off and should not be rubbed or picked. While these crusts may not always be visible, they can be felt.
Most patients experience a warm or pinprick sensation during treatment but generally find the procedure very tolerable. A warm or hot sensation may gradually build within the skin for approximately 2 hours after treatment before subsiding.
Most patients opt for 3 or 4 treatments, each taking about 30 minutes. Results accumulate and improve over time as collagen production continues beneath the skin’s surface. Because the treatment doesn’t remove the entire surface skin, healing is quicker and presents fewer risks. However, it may take up to 6 months to fully appreciate the effects of each treatment.
